We started Ginger & Jive because the photos that mean the most — the ones from a first light in the garden, a slow morning by the window, a hand you know from memory — deserve more than a phone screen and a shoebox drive.
What we do
You upload a photograph. You pick a painterly style — oil, watercolour, fine-art photograph, sumi-e ink wash, and a few others. We render a museum-grade version of your image and print it on the substrate you choose: gallery-wrapped canvas, framed print, aluminium metal, or smooth fine-art paper.
Every piece is made-to-order and shipped, from either the UK or the US, within three to five business days. Nothing sits on a shelf; the moment you place the order is the moment your file starts moving.
How we think about quality
We hold ourselves to three rules: the image reads as fine art at arm’s length, the substrate feels good in the hand, and the shipping journey doesn’t undo any of that. Small failures on any of those are worth a reprint on us.
Our AI does the tonal + textural work — the parts that used to require an atelier and a week of iterations. The taste behind the styles, the paper and canvas we pick, and the standards we hold each print to — those are ours.
Where the name comes from
Ginger is the warmth of a room lit at golden hour. Jive is the syncopation you feel when a good print catches the eye across a hallway. Together they’re the shorthand we use for the quality we want on the wall.
